Selecting the right boot for your foot is really important to make sure you get the right fit for dancing in. This section has been put together to help guide you in your decision making. Please follow the instructions carefully to understand how our boots are crafted so you make the best decision for your feet.

Our boots professional-level dance boots, made in Portugal using fine Italian and Spanish leather, denim, or Lycra for flexible fit. Our standard adult boots have a 13" top height and a 3" scallop detail, giving it a classic cowboy boot appearance. The boots are extremely lightweight, crafted from high-quality materials with a suede or outdoor sole, no welt, and no shank (perfect for flexing your foot in).

2 Width

Choose your width fitting

The width of the boot depends on two things: the width of your foot and the width of your calf. We make three fittings.

Medium Foot / Medium Calf

Best for most dancersPreviously BC
Foot: mediumCalf: medium

Approximately a BC foot width. Suits most people whose feet and calves are neither particularly wide nor narrow.

Wide Foot / Medium Calf

A wider fit through the foot with a standard calf width.

Choose this if you have a higher instep or high bridge, or need extra room at the forefoot but not around the calf.

Wide Foot / Wide Calf

Our widest option: extra room through both the foot and the calf, including an extra 3.5 cm of space for the calf muscle.

Choose this if you need more space in both areas.

3 Heel height

Pick your heel height

Two heel heights are available.

3 cm (approx. 1.25")

5 cm (approx. 2")

Competing at World Dance Masters?

These are the maximum heel heights:

Dancers Maximum heel
Primary, Junior, Teen and all male dancers 1.5" / 3.75 cm
All other dancers 3" / 7.5 cm

Our 5 cm heel is higher than the 3.75 cm limit, so Primary, Junior, Teen and male dancers should choose the 3 cm heel for World Dance Masters. Entering a different line dance competition? Check that competition’s own heel rules.

Choose this if you’ll mainly wear your boots outdoors, to avoid damaging them.
